what is mother/maker
mother/maker is a creative community space being built in málaga for women, mothers, and makers — anyone in a season of creation and creating, seeking connection and a soft place to land. to be your whole, complete self.
it is the third space — where collective care and creative expression for you and your child reigns supreme. a space built to hold all of you.
part tea lounge, part creative studio, part gallery and performance space. we open in 2027. right now, we're building the community that will shape it from the beginning.

child-friendly tea lounge and play space. warm drinks, shared snacks, unhurried time. designed for lingering, connection, and collective care.
the creative studio
open-ended making for adults and children. process over outcome. materials, exploration, and expression — with your child beside you, not in spite of them.
the gallery & performance space
a multifunctional black box — rotating exhibitions, intimate performances, kirtan, gatherings, and events. a living, breathing cultural space shaped by the community within it.
collaborate with us
mother/maker is a living space shaped by the people who show up. if you're an artist, musician, practitioner, maker, or simply someone with an idea — we want to hear from you. this is an open invitation.
visual artists
show your work in our rotating gallery. we're looking for artists connected to málaga, to matrescence, to womanhood, to becoming — in any medium.
musicians & sound artists
perform in the space. create soundscapes. lead listening circles. the performance space is intimate and versatile — bring your vision.
kirtan & sacred sound
lead kirtan, chanting, sound baths, or devotional gatherings. we want the space to hold many kinds of resonance and ritual.
performers & facilitators
theatre, movement, dance, spoken word, ceremony. the black box is yours. if you can imagine it in the space, let's talk.
makers & teachers
run a workshop in the studio. share a skill. lead a making session for mothers, women, or children. process over product, always.
